# Welcome to Plauder.Party

Motivated by opaque proprietary messengers; stack is Matrix, Cinny, LiveKit, EU servers. Service opens gradually; progress is documented on the blog.

What we are building and why - in brief.


We are launching **Plauder.Party** - an open community chat platform hosted in Germany.

## Why?

Proprietary chat platforms are convenient but often opaque: closed code, US hosting, unclear data use. We want the opposite:

- **Matrix** as an open standard
- **Cinny** as a modern client
- **LiveKit** for voice and video
- Servers in the **EU**

## Where we are today

The website is live. The chat service will open gradually. We document progress honestly on this blog - including what is still missing.
